Trent Carlson - Director/Producer

As a filmmaker and storyteller Trent Carlson adheres to the belief that a great script with a unique concept is the blueprint to a successful film. It is his dedication to plot excellence, authentic characters, and thematic relevance that drove the success of his debut feature film, THE DELICATE ART OF PARKING (2004). The critically acclaimed comedy premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival and won the Golden Zenith Award for Best Film, and was an instant hit at the box office when it opened in theatres across Canada. Carlson's producing credits include MILE ZERO (2001), FIDO (2006) starring Carrie Anne Moss, Billy Connolly, Dylan Baker and Tim Blake Nelson, THE THAW (2009) starring Val Kilmer and Martha MacIsaac. Carlson is currently producing the mystery/thriller DONOVAN'S ECHO, starring Danny Glover. Carlson seeks out stories that cross borders, add freshness to genre, and have international appeal. He is currently in active development on the comedy-drama THE WIDOW'S CLUB, and the historical epic/sci-fi action adventure SKY CHARIOTS (Part I of the UK comic book series - THE TRIGAN EMPIRE).
